The Unseen Heir

Fifteen years ago, a car accident left Zhou Cheng with temporary amnesia. Rescued by the childless Gu couple, he was adopted, renamed Gu Cheng, and raised abroad as their own son. Now 25, Gu Cheng returns to Shanghai with his wife, socialite Zhao Feifei, to take over the family business and secretly search for his birth mother and sister. As Shanghai’s elite scramble to curry favor with the Gu heir, a welcome banquet is held in his honor. However, Zhang Manman—who pursued Gu Cheng fruitlessly for five years—hatches a vicious scheme. At the banquet, she sends Zijie to pose as Gu Cheng and reunite with his long-lost sister, Zhou Yao, planning to photograph their “intimate” meeting to sabotage Feifei’s marriage. But Manman’s plot runs deeper: she expects Feifei, upon seeing the staged video, to violently confront Zhou Yao and her mother. She anticipates that witnessing Feifei attack his family will finally turn Gu Cheng against his wife. As planned, Feifei sees the video and storms off with her entourage to confront Zhou Yao. Just as Gu Cheng is about to introduce Feifei at the event, her live-streamed assault flashes across the screens. Rushing to rescue his family, Gu Cheng unravels Manman’s deception and uncovers a painful truth: Feifei never truly loved him. In the end, the family is reunited, and the schemes are laid bare.
